Information infrastructure system ready to operate 02-level local government

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - On the afternoon of June 30, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung chaired a national online meeting to review the progress and results of implementing interconnected and synchronous digital transformation tasks. The meeting aimed to prepare for the implementation of the two-level local government model smoothly, effectively, and without interruption from tomorrow, July 1.

Up to now, all provinces and cities have basically completed the infrastructure of data centers, cloud computing platforms, transmission lines, equipment, and ensured information security. The system is ready to operate to serve the direction and operation of the 2-level local government model from July 1. At the Public Administration Centers, equipment is fully arranged, processes, procedures, and hotlines are publicized, creating convenience for people and businesses to access services. 34 localities have closed the Provincial Public Service Portal, integrated records into the National Public Service Portal, ensuring connectivity and consistency across the system. However, there are still some places facing difficulties in funding, remote infrastructure, equipment, power grid, and unstable telecommunications signals.

Quang Ngai basically completed phase 1 goals

Quang Ngai has basically completed the objectives of phase 1 according to Plan No. 02 of the Central Steering Committee. The province has announced key personnel in communes and wards, arranged People's Committee headquarters, established the Commune-level Public Administration Center, completed the video conferencing infrastructure, the official email system, and the management of documents and work records. The provincial electronic information portal and commune information portals are ready to operate from 0:00 on July 1. The administrative procedure settlement system has connected to the National Public Service Portal, currently providing 1,307 public services, exceeding the set target.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung noted that this is an important transition step, with many new and complicated issues that may arise, so ministries, branches, localities and enterprises must not be subjective, need to closely monitor, promptly handle all situations, maintain stable operations, and best serve people and businesses. Immediately after July 1, units must continue to complete and upgrade infrastructure, ensure sufficient human resources, resources, funding, and maintain a smooth and safe system.
