Yesterday (May 30), the AVP website published images of the scene of the destruction of the Patriot air defense system in Kiev. These are the first images of the attack to be made public.

Images of Zhuliany airfield taken on May 18 show traces of the missile attack that took place on May 16. These traces are clearly visible on the concrete parking lot and inside the positions of the Patriot PAC-3 (also known as MIM-104F) air defense missile system. They are funnel-shaped craters with a radius of several tens of meters.

Comparing images of the airport on May 15 and May 18, the changes show that it was destroyed in a powerful attack.

Previously, on the night of May 15-16, an airstrike was carried out by the Russian military, targeting many military positions in Kyiv.

After carrying out this attack, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Patriot air defense systems were destroyed. Meanwhile, the US media reported that the Patriot air defense systems were damaged but claimed that the damage was quickly repaired on the spot.

Earlier, on May 29, the AVP website reported on a Russian airstrike in Ukraine's Khmelnytsky region. A military airport was targeted, and many planes were destroyed and damaged.

According to AVP sources, the attack caused serious damage and losses. The airstrike disabled five aircraft and set ammunition, fuel and lubricant depots on fire.

Some sources also said that British Su-24 aircraft equipped with Storm Shadow cruise missiles were present at the airport. However, this information has not been officially confirmed at this time.

Experts say that destroying airports on Ukrainian territory could become an effective strategy, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasingly using aircraft to carry out long-range tactical missile strikes.
