Canh Duong Sea Village Mural: A Village Telling Stories with Paintbrushes and Ocean Waves

Located in Hoa Trach commune, Canh Duong village stands out like a giant painting in the heart of Quang Tri . Hundreds of super vivid murals are painted right on the walls of the houses, turning this ancient village into a unique outdoor art gallery. Each painting not only decorates the space but also tells a colorful story about the life, activities and culture of coastal fishermen.

With a history of nearly 400 years, Canh Duong was once known as a proud "fighting village" during the war years. Now, the village is turning into a "hot" destination on the tourist map, attracting visitors by the harmonious combination of ancient and modern features. Besides the brilliant murals, Canh Duong also retains its ancient beauty with moss-covered coral stone houses, bearing the mark of time. Every corner of the village can become a great backdrop for artistic "check-in" photos. Canh Duong mural village is living proof that creativity and love for the homeland can turn a peaceful fishing village into a unique cultural destination.

Ly Hoa: Ancient Beauty and Traditional Features Preserved Intact

Continuing the journey, the film crew arrived at Ly Hoa, a small, beautiful village that has been peacefully located by the sea for many years. Ly Hoa not only possesses poetic beauty, but is also a place that preserves many valuable traditions, especially the craft of making rice paper.

Located in the heart of the village, Ly Hoa ancient communal house is one of the oldest communal houses in the Quang Tri region, built by the villagers in 1737. Initially with only four simple pillars, the communal house has gone through many historical ups and downs and become a cultural symbol of the village. Ly Hoa communal house is the place where many important festivals associated with maritime culture take place, most notably the Praying for a Good Season Festival held every June. With a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, this ancient communal house is one of five ranked relics of Ly Hoa village - a village not only rich in cultural traditions but also famous for its love of learning.

Another highlight of Ly Hoa is Da Nhay beach, which is considered a natural masterpiece. Here, millions of large and small rocks with strange shapes such as elephants, tigers, buffaloes, etc. are scattered on the sand, creating a wild but vibrant scene. All of these "sculptures" were created by sea winds and waves over millions of years. Da Nhay is both a giant 3D painting in the middle of the blue sea and white sand, and a "check-in" spot that cannot be missed, where every corner contains unique beauty.

Mother Suot Monument: Symbol of Patriotism and Resilience

When mentioning Quang Tri, it is impossible not to mention the image of a resilient, heroic woman - Mother Nguyen Thi Suot. In Dong Hoi ward, the Mother Suot monument stands tall on the banks of the Nhat Le River as a symbol of patriotism and endless resilience. The monument depicts the image of a brave mother rowing a boat, transporting soldiers, wounded soldiers and ammunition across the Nhat Le River during the fierce years of resistance. The image of a simple mother, but with extraordinary determination, has become an immortal symbol of Quang Tri, inspiring many generations of bravery and sacrifice for national independence. The Mother Suot monument is not only a historical relic but also a place for every Vietnamese person to express their gratitude and admiration for the great contributions of their fathers and brothers.
