Thousands of Yogis attend Yoga Festival on the shore of Ha Long Bay Heritage

(PLVN) - On June 22, in Ha Long City, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province coordinated with the Embassy of India in Hanoi to organize the 11th International Yoga Day in 2025, with the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health". Attending the event was Dr. Mandal Tejaswi, representative of the Embassy of India.

The event attracted about 1,000 people including coaches, teachers and yogis from all over the world to gather at Hon Gai beach (Ha Long city) to participate in a collective performance. The special highlight of the program was the performance of traditional yoga protocols led by a representative of the Indian Embassy, imbued with the cultural identity of the country where this sport originated.

Speaking at the 11th International Yoga Day, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province shared that on December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution declaring June 21 as International Yoga Day. This resolution was approved by 177 countries, including Vietnam.

Ngày Quốc tế Yoga lần thứ 11, năm 2025, với chủ đề “Yoga vì một Trái đất, một sức khỏe chung” tại Quảng Ninh đã thu hút khoảng 1.000 người là huấn luyện viên (HLV), giáo viên và người tập yoga (Yogi) từ khắp nơi cùng nhau hội tụ tại bãi tắm Hòn Gai (TP Hạ Long) tham gia đồng diễn tập thể.
