The contest aims to promote and honor the natural beauty, culture and people of Lai Chau . Illustrative photo
The contest is an activity within the framework of Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week 2025, aiming to build a rich, high-quality digital archive to effectively serve the propaganda and promotion of Lai Chau's image domestically and internationally.
From there, it contributes to promoting the development of tourism into an important economic sector, while spreading unique traditional cultural values imbued with the identity of Lai Chau ethnic communities.
Accordingly, the Contest is organized on a national scale. Contestants are all Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in and outside the country. Foreigners working, living in Vietnam or traveling to Lai Chau. For groups, it is a group of authors or agencies and organizations nationwide with works participating in the contest.
The entries are beautiful photos and video clips that truly reflect the natural beauty, culture and people of Lai Chau; explore cultural values and potential advantages for tourism development in Lai Chau province; cultural festivals, moments of life, culture of ethnic groups, daily cultural activities, customs and practices, cultural forms, folk arts, and culinary culture of the people; images of tourists exploring and experiencing tourism products and indigenous cultures at tourist destinations in Lai Chau province.
The works must have a name (theme), ensure quality, have a clear layout, sharp images, high aesthetics, creativity and carry a positive message about Lai Chau tourism; the author can adjust the light and dark, use special effects on the work but must not erase, replace, cut and paste to distort the nature and content of the work. The work must not have won any prizes in other competitions and must not violate Vietnamese laws.
Each author can participate in multiple works, participating in one of two contents or both contents (photo and video).
In particular, the Organizing Committee posts photos and video clips on the Lai Chau tourism Fanpage and other tourism promotion Fanpages to select the most liked photos to award secondary prizes and is not responsible in case of copyright disputes and other related rights.
The Organizing Committee has the right to use the winning works without having to pay royalties for the photos to promote the contest, political and foreign affairs tasks, serve the public as well as serve the promotion of domestic and foreign tourism.
The contest has a total prize value of 125 million VND, of which the photo category has 24 prizes, including 1 first prize worth 8 million VND; the video clip category has 11 prizes, including the first prize worth 15 million VND. In addition, there are also secondary prizes for the most popular works on travel fanpages.
The time to receive entries is from July 20 to September 15. The announcement and award ceremony will take place on October 4, at Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week 2025.
