- According to the report of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, on July 17, 2025, nearly 2,000 vehicles carrying import and export goods cleared customs through the province's border gates, an increase of more than 300 vehicles compared to previous days.
Of the nearly 2,000 vehicles cleared through customs on July 17, 470 were carrying export goods (an increase of more than 20 vehicles compared to July 16), the rest were carrying import goods. Most of the vehicles carrying goods cleared through customs on July 17 were through Huu Nghi International Border Gate and the Tan Thanh - Po Chai dedicated freight road (area of landmarks 1088/2 - 1089).
In order to meet the increasing demand for customs clearance of import and export goods, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone has proactively coordinated with the People's Government of Bang Tuong City (Guangxi, China) to extend the time for import and export procedures at Huu Nghi International Border Gate and the Tan Thanh - Po Chai dedicated freight road (marker area 1088/2-1089) at Huu Nghi International Border Gate. Specifically, the time for import and export procedures will be extended to 20:00 ( Hanoi time) every day .
This adjustment has significantly improved the customs clearance capacity at the province's border gates, especially the two key border gates with a large volume of import and export vehicles. Thanks to that, the backlog of vehicles carrying export goods at the border gates has been quickly cleared.
According to forecasts by the authorities, the number of vehicles clearing customs is expected to continue to increase in the coming days. To ensure smooth customs clearance, relevant agencies and authorities at the border gates are closely monitoring the import and export situation. At the same time, they are also proactively exchanging with the Chinese authorities to agree on measures to improve the convenience of customs clearance. Measures to enhance customs clearance capacity will continue to be implemented with the aim of further improving the efficiency of the number of vehicles that can clear customs during the day.
The authorities of Lang Son province also recommend that businesses regularly monitor the import and export situation of goods at this time through the information portals of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Economic Zone Management Board, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Customs Branch of Region VI... to proactively regulate the time and number of vehicles carrying goods to the border gates for customs clearance procedures, thereby avoiding arising risks.
It is known that from July 1, 2025 to July 17, 2025, nearly 29,000 vehicles carrying import and export goods completed customs clearance procedures through Lang Son province's border gates.
