Ia Krai is a commune with a fairly large area of nearly 14,270 hectares of crops, of which the largest area is long-term industrial crops with nearly 11,100 hectares, fruit trees 1,231 hectares (the rest are food crops, medicinal plants...). Currently, in addition to 5 state-owned enterprises located in the area, there are one-member limited liability companies
Ia Cham Coffee, Ia Blan Coffee One Member Co., Ltd., 705 Coffee Co., Ltd., 715 Rubber Company, 74 Rubber Company, Ia Krai has not yet attracted private enterprises to invest.

Similarly, Ia Dom commune also owns a large agricultural production land area of 11,115 hectares, of which the land for growing key crops is more than 10,830 hectares (mainly growing trees such as rubber, cashew, coffee, and fruit trees).
However, according to the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Le Trong Phuc: "The commune has not yet attracted investors to build deep processing factories. One of the reasons is that the raw material area is relatively far from the center, so transportation costs are quite high. Therefore, currently, local agricultural products only stop at processing raw products, low economic value, not improving the value of agricultural products as well as the lives of farmers.
The commune also has the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone, but it has only attracted 32 investors to carry out 39 projects, mainly in the fields of trade, services, logistics and warehousing, serving import and export activities, but there are no deep processing enterprises yet.
Although the results are still limited, it is undeniable that in recent times, the communes in the West of Gia Lai have made great efforts in calling for and attracting investment. Currently, this area has called for nearly 300 investment projects in the field of agriculture and forestry, including 50 projects in the field of cultivation with a total investment of about 10,402 billion VND, nearly 40 projects in the field of forestry with a scale of about 39,000 hectares. The province's key agricultural products have met the quality requirements of demanding markets such as: the US, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, EU ...

To achieve these results, Mr. Doan Ngoc Co, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said: “Although the number is still limited, investors implementing high-tech agricultural projects or deep processing have contributed to changing the thinking of farmers, cooperatives and enterprises in localities, that is, focusing on choosing quality agricultural materials, organic production, applying advanced technology in plant care; expanding production according to standards associated with building codes for growing areas, packaging facilities, traceability...
In the coming time, we will continue to accompany localities in exploiting potentials, taking advantage of climate and soil advantages to build quality raw material sources, thereby enhancing opportunities to attract investment."

During a recent field inspection trip, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said: "The land and resources in the localities are very good, the people in this area not only escape poverty but also have a very high chance of getting rich. Therefore, local leaders must think about helping people with product output, and at the same time re-plan economic development strategies with a long-term vision. In particular, it is necessary to connect product output, raise awareness to apply technology to production and processing of goods. On the other hand, it is necessary to raise the level of local business households to the level of enterprises to develop. The province will also plan and develop Le Thanh International Border Gate to promote investment attraction".
