On January 17, Nam Tu Liem District Police ( Hanoi ) said that the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. the same day at the intersection of Le Duc Tho - Nguyen Hoang, My Dinh 2 Ward. Working group Y20B - Nam Tu Liem District Police discovered two young men riding a SH motorbike with license plate 14 AP - 015.XX at high speed, so they signaled them to stop the vehicle for an administrative check.
However, the two subjects, Vu Hoang Ky (born 2006, residing in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) and Dang Duy Tien (born 2006, residing in Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh ) did not comply. Ky drove the car carrying Tien and turned around to flee at high speed on Le Duc Tho street towards My Dinh stadium.
At this time, the task force deployed forces to block both ends. Despite the command, Ky still accelerated and hit police officer Nguyen Thanh Tuan, causing him to fall onto the road and injure his head. The strong collision caused Ky and Tien to also fall onto the road.
Soldier Tuan was taken to Hong Ngoc Hospital for emergency treatment. CT scan results showed that Tuan had subcutaneous edema in the right temporal region, required 5 stitches and is being monitored.
The authorities restrained Ky and Tien, made a record and handed them over to Nam Tu Liem District Police for investigation and handling according to regulations.
