Closing Ceremony of ASEAN Police Football Tournament 2025

The closing ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament took place on the evening of July 15, right after the Vietnam Police II team defeated Cambodia to win the championship.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, along with leaders of central ministries and branches, the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of the Department of Political Work, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association and the Vietnam Football Federation.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) highly appreciated the spirit of fair-play, solidarity and friendship of the teams. He said that this year's tournament attracted a large number of domestic and foreign spectators to the stadium to cheer and watch on television and digital platforms, creating a vibrant and positive sporting atmosphere.

CAND Vietnam II ended its impressive journey with a 4-0 victory over Cambodia in the final. The team won the championship trophy and a prize of 30,000 USD . Cambodia received 15,000 USD for the second place. The two third-place teams, Thailand and Timor Leste, were awarded 5,000 USD each.

Tran Duc Nam was the most outstanding player of the tournament, winning two individual awards: Top scorer (8 goals) and Best Player of the tournament. Goalkeeper Nattawoot Saengdara (Thailand) was honored in the Best Goalkeeper category. The Style Award was given to the Laos team.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice President of T&T Group, affirmed that accompanying the tournament is part of the company's commitment to development associated with social responsibility.

"The tournament is an opportunity for football teams to exchange, learn and experience Vietnamese culture. We hope to continue to accompany many other sports playgrounds for police and armed forces, not only in football but also in other sports," he said.
