The national historical site of Ben K15 (Do Son district, Hai Phong city), the first departure point of the unnumbered ships carrying cadres and weapons from the North to support the Southern battlefield during the resistance war against the US to save the country. The unnumbered ships created the legend of the "Ho Chi Minh trail at sea". The national historical site of Ben K15 was invested in and built by the Navy Command in 2002. However, due to the effects of time and weather, the project has now been damaged and degraded.

Previously, Hai Phong voters requested the Government to invest in renovating and preserving the Ben K15 relic site to match the status of a national historical relic. The relic site will contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism, while also recognizing the heroic feats and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the Unnumbered Ships of the Vietnam People's Navy.

Responding to voters' opinions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent an official dispatch to the Hai Phong City People's Committee and the Navy Command requesting direction for specialized agencies to prepare a project to restore and embellish the K15 Wharf relic to preserve and promote its value according to regulations.
