Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha has just signed a decision detailing the cases where people who own houses but are far from their workplaces are entitled to social housing support policies in Ha Tinh province.

Accordingly, in case of enjoying social housing support policies according to the provisions of the law on housing, if the house is owned by the person but the location of the house is far from the workplace, in order to be able to buy or rent-purchase social housing, the distance from the place of the house owned by the person to the workplace must be at least 30km or more and the distance from the location of the social housing for sale or rent-purchase to the workplace must be a maximum of 15km.
The distance specified above is determined according to the shortest road route distance using highly reliable electronic map software (Google Maps, Vietmap...); the location of the subject's residence and workplace are determined at the time of submitting the application to purchase or lease-purchase social housing.
The Department of Construction is responsible for guiding relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to implement this decision and perform the tasks of the provincial housing management agency in accordance with the provisions of the law on housing and related laws.
The People's Committee of the commune where the house and the head office or workplace of the beneficiary of the social housing support policy are located is responsible for coordinating with the Department of Construction to confirm cases where the house is owned by them but is far from the workplace according to the above regulations.
Buyers and lessees of social housing shall compare the above provisions with the provisions of the law on housing and relevant laws to determine whether they have housing that they own but is far from their workplace and are entitled to social housing support policies; provide accurate information to investors about the location of the housing and workplace when registering to buy or lessee social housing and be legally responsible for the information provided.
In case after purchasing or leasing social housing, it is discovered that the information provided by the buyer or lessee is inaccurate and does not meet the above-mentioned conditions and relevant legal provisions, the handling of the purchased or leased housing shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Clause 10, Article 88 of the 2023 Housing Law.
The investor of the social housing construction investment project is responsible for receiving registration dossiers, checking and comparing the above regulations and relevant legal regulations to make a list of subjects eligible to buy or lease-purchase social housing according to regulations.
During the implementation process, if any problems or difficulties arise, relevant localities, organizations, units and individuals should promptly report to the Department of Construction for research and proposal to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution.
