In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi plans to enroll about 161,000 sixth-grade students. According to the plan, online sixth-grade enrollment will be conducted from 0:00 on July 7 to 24:00 on July 9. Parents log in to the city's primary enrollment portal to register for enrollment.

From early morning, 25 admissions officers from Linh Nam Secondary School (Vinh Hung Ward, Hanoi) were present at the school to assign tasks, ready to support parents in registering at the school and comparing documents; at the same time, supporting, answering questions, and guiding remote registration.

Ms. Tran Le Khanh, Principal of Linh Nam Secondary School, said: In the 2025-2026 school year, according to the enrollment zoning for grade 6, the school will enroll 540 students through the selection method. The enrollment plan was issued in March 2025 and will not be enhanced when implementing two-level local government.

To implement the city's enrollment plan, the school has proactively developed a specific enrollment plan, ensuring 5 clear regulations, including: clear enrollment route, clear enrollment quota, clear enrollment time; clear enrollment method and clear responsibility in enrollment work.

The school's enrollment plan is posted on media such as website, fanpage, bulletin board at the school gate..., and there is also a hotline, ready to support and answer information related to enrollment.

"From today until July 9, the school will prepare all facilities, equip computers with internet connection, printers and arrange staff to be on duty at the school to support parents who cannot register online at home. The school board also assigned staff to be on duty at the hotline and email to answer parents about enrollment work," Ms. Tran Le Khanh informed.

At Linh Nam Secondary School, on July 7, many parents came to the school to register their children directly after successfully registering online on the Hanoi City Primary School Admissions Portal.

Checking information and confirming records, the most important and latest thing about this year's enrollment is the change in administrative boundaries, which makes parents and schools quickly update and guide parents to fill in the changed information in the records.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training noted that the method of enrolling students for grade 6 in the 2025-2026 school year will still follow the plan issued in March 2025, which is before the two-level government apparatus operates. The enrollment method will still be implemented according to the enrollment route prescribed by the People's Committee of the district, town, and city for the area before the new apparatus operates.

Therefore, parents can be completely assured during the registration process because there will be no disruptions to the admission route or admission quota. The admission time for 6th grade students for the 2025-2026 school year will also remain stable as announced, that is, from now until 24:00 on July 9, 2025.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi plans to enroll 95,000 preschool children, 52,000 5-year-old kindergarten children, 155,000 first graders and 161,000 sixth graders. Previously, educational institutions were directed to prepare facilities, human resources, especially technology systems to meet online enrollment from July 1.
