Emotions and pride, that is the sharing of Major Tran Thi Ngoc Vu (working at the Propaganda Department, Military Region 7) after completing the explanation of the second rehearsal of the parade, marching for the A80 ceremony, with the participation of tens of thousands of people and special equipment and vehicles on August 24 at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ).

Major Ngoc Vu shared: “I was honored to be the voice of the A50 ceremony. Continuing to contribute my voice to the rehearsal of the A80 ceremony parade for the first time (August 21) and the second time (August 24), I am still moved and emotional.

I am proud to be a son of Quang Nam who is trusted by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense , the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Military Region 7 and the Propaganda Department where I work, creating conditions to become one of the Southern voice-over voices at A80".

According to Major Ngoc Vu, in response to the trust of the unit leader, he always reminds himself to put his heart into every reading, and together with the group, contribute a small part to the jubilant and solemn atmosphere of the upcoming September 2nd celebration.

Major Ngoc Vu confided that when she was a junior high school student in Tam Ngoc commune, old Tam Ky city (now Huong Tra ward, Da Nang city), she accidentally heard the voice of Meritorious Artist Kim Tien - the legendary voice with the introduction "This is Voice of Vietnam ..." on the neighbor's radio. From then on, she idolized Meritorious Artist Kim Tien, looking forward to the broadcast time of Voice of Vietnam to hear the familiar voice.

She worked hard to practice her voice so that she could read, narrate, or host small programs in her hometown. Then, fate came to her when she became an “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” and today she works at the Cultural House of the Propaganda Department, Military Region 7.

Major Tran Thi Ngoc Vu confided that to be included in the A50 and A80 ceremony commentary team, she had to go through a rigorous selection process when many units sent their staff to apply.

“After the April 30th holiday, we arrived in Hanoi on July 20th to practice. In the morning, the team practiced from 8am to 11am, and in the afternoon from 2pm. Initially, my team selected 8 people, including 4 Northern accents and 4 Southern accents; later, 2 more people with Hue accents were added,” Major Ngoc Vu confided.

Honored and happy to be assigned to give a speech at the upcoming A80 ceremony, Major Ngoc Vu said he will try his best as a young soldier, worthy of the eight golden words: "Heroic - Indomitable - Loyal - Responsible" that Uncle Ho gave to Vietnamese women on March 8, 1965.

Almost joined the A50 parade

Major Ngoc Vu shared that she was selected to join the parade team, marching at A50 as a flag guard for the female commando unit. After two months of training, she unfortunately tore her knee cartilage and could not continue to participate.

At this time, the unit sent her to Hanoi to audition for voiceovers at the A50 ceremony. After the audition, she was one of eight people retained, including two northern male voices, two southern male voices, two northern female voices, and two southern female voices.
