2025 NATIONAL YOUTH KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Phu Yen won 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals

The provincial Sports Training and Competition Center has just announced that the Phu Yen Karate team won 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the 2025 National Youth Karate Championship held in Bac Ninh.

Specifically, athlete Tran Nguyen Nha Han won the gold medal in the 35kg weight class (age group 10-11 years old), athlete Nguyen Ngoc Bao Ngoc won the gold medal in the 40kg weight class (age group 10-11 years old), athlete Nguyen Thi Bich Tran won the silver medal in the 56kg weight class (age group 12-13 years old), athlete Nguyen Minh Gia Huy won the silver medal in the 50kg weight class (age group 14-15 years old).

With this achievement, the Phu Yen Karate team ranked 16th out of 40 participating teams at the tournament. Coach Nguyen Dong Xuyen and his team participated in the tournament with 14 athletes, competing in the combat events in various weight categories and completed the set goal with 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the national tournament.
