VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament

VHO - With the participation of strong teams in the region and the world, VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 is not only an important professional competition opportunity for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team but also an emotional sports festival for fans across the country.

Volleyball festival returns to Vinh Phuc

On the afternoon of June 18, in Hanoi , Vietnam Television in coordination with the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and Usports Company held the announcement ceremony of the VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament.

The tournament was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, and towards the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast by Vietnam Television (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2025).

VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 will take place from June 28 to July 5, 2025 at Vinh Phuc Stadium, Phu Tho province - the place that successfully hosted this tournament in 2006 and 2012. With the strong love of the audience here for volleyball, the organizers hope that the tournament will continue to attract a large number of fans.

This year's tournament brings together 8 women's teams from countries and territories with developed volleyball, divided into two groups. Group A includes the Vietnam national team, the Philippines team, Sichuan Club (China) and the Australian team. Group B includes the Vietnam U21 team, Korabelka Club (Russia), Chinese Taipei team and Thailand U21.

Teams will play a round robin in each group to determine rankings. The top four teams in each group will then be paired off in a knockout format to determine the semi-finals and finals.

According to Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, this is an important tournament in the plan to review the force, test the lineup, and check the quality of tactical operations of the national team as well as the U21 team.

"Not only is it a useful playground for the national team, the tournament is also especially meaningful for the Vietnam U21 team - a generation of young players who are aiming for the U21 World Championship. Competing with strong international opponents will help them mature faster in both expertise and competitive spirit," Mr. Le Tri Truong affirmed.

Opportunity to compete – an important step forward for SEA Games 33

Besides the professional aspect, VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 also has many spiritual values. With the 25th position in the world, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is gradually affirming its position on the continental volleyball map.

This tournament is an opportunity for the players to show their performance before the 33rd SEA Games, where the team aims to compete for a gold medal.

The presence of two teams from the world's leading women's volleyball teams, Russia and China, along with regional teams such as Thailand, the Philippines and Australia, promises to bring top-notch competitions right from the group stage.

Head of VTV Sports Program Production Department Phan Ngoc Tien provides information about the tournament.

In particular, the two U21 teams of Vietnam and Thailand, both of whom are preparing for the U21 World Championship, will deliver remarkable performances, reflecting the near future of women's volleyball in the region.

Representative of the host locality - Mr. Ngo Chi Tue, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province (old) shared: "This is the third time Vinh Phuc has had the honor of hosting this tournament. This year, the attraction of the tournament continues to be very large, so the organizing committee has decided to sell tickets to meet the needs of people to enjoy professional volleyball. There will be about 1,400 tickets issued."

The VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament continues to receive the support of large enterprises.
