The world gold price continues to fluctuate below the threshold of 3,400 USD/ounce, in the context of Middle East tensions still being controlled at the regional level. Although geopolitical risks still exist, experts say the market is increasingly focusing on macroeconomic factors rather than reacting to short-term fluctuations.
Many portfolio managers believe that gold is firmly on a long-term uptrend. In terms of the US dollar, the price of gold has increased by nearly 30% since the beginning of the year, while the US Congress is still struggling with a new spending bill, including a plan to cut taxes and increase the national debt by nearly $4,000 billion.
Despite the global economic turmoil, the share of gold in total global investment assets currently accounts for only about 1%. According to experts, this number will increase, as investors increasingly seek gold as a safe haven to preserve asset value in an environment of high inflation and public debt.
