According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,326.13 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 1.23% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,247 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 105.2 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 12.8 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell today but are on track for a weekly gain after US economic data this week raised expectations that the Federal Reserve will soon cut interest rates. Meanwhile, silver prices also jumped, reaching their highest level in more than 13 years.
Meanwhile, a report from the US Labor Department showed that nonfarm payrolls increased by 139,000 in May, higher than the 130,000 forecast by a Reuters poll of economists. The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.2%, in line with forecasts.
Fed policymakers are widely expected to wait until September to start cutting rates, with only one more cut likely in December. This is based on short-term interest rate futures trading, which suggests investors have pared bets on the Fed making three rate cuts before the end of the year.
Gold is seen as a hedge against inflation and geopolitical uncertainty. However, high interest rates reduce the appeal of gold because it does not yield interest. On the trade policy front, there was still no clarity after a highly anticipated phone call between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.
Spot silver fell 0.3% to $36.04 an ounce, after hitting a more than 13-year high earlier in the session.
Silver's gains "appear to be driven by speculative money that believes silver is undervalued relative to gold, and the move above $35 an ounce has amplified the rally," said UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo.
Platinum rose 3.4% to $1,168.72 - its highest since March 2022, while palladium also rose 3.4% to $1,039.78. Both metals are on track for weekly gains.
