Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, July 23, in the Central Highlands region have dropped sharply, fluctuating between 91,600 - 92,300 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Lam Dong province are purchasing coffee at 92,300 VND/kg. A sharp decrease of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 92,300 VND/kg, down 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND1,600/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND92,200/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in Ward 1, Bao Loc, Hoa Ninh, Duc Trong, and Dinh Van Lam Ha communes, coffee prices decreased by VND1,900/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND91,600/kg.

According to exporting enterprises, Vietnam is currently entering the final stage of the coffee harvest. There is not much inventory left among the people, while export contracts that have been signed in advance force enterprises to actively buy. This is the reason why domestic coffee prices remain high, even though world prices have shown signs of a slight decrease.
In contrast, international coffee prices are closely following changes in global trade policies, especially from Brazil. Any changes in weather, tariffs or supply from Brazil can create major shocks to the global coffee market, leading to fluctuations in domestic coffee prices.
In the short term, coffee prices in the Vietnamese market are forecast to remain stable or may slightly adjust within a narrow range. However, if there is more buying pressure from international roasters or signs of tightening supply from major producing countries, coffee prices could rebound in the near future.

The European Coffee Federation (ECF) has just released a report showing that Vietnam's coffee market share in the European market has decreased significantly in 2024. Specifically, this rate is only 18.6%, much lower than the 23.9% in 2023.
In terms of output, Vietnam will export about 539,000 tons of coffee to Europe in 2024, down from 633,400 tons last year. Meanwhile, total coffee imports from Europe will increase from 2.65 million tons in 2023 to 2.9 million tons in 2024.
Another notable point is that green coffee bean inventories at major European ports have decreased sharply in the first months of 2025. As of the end of April, inventories were only about 424,403 tons, half of the end of 2022. This shows that in the coming time, European importers may have to increase purchases to compensate for the amount of goods consumed, opening up opportunities for recovery for Vietnam's coffee exports.
