Nearly 500 athletes participate in the Can Tho City Open SUP Race

VHO - The 4th Can Tho City Open SUP Race - 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City in coordination with SIS Can Tho International General Hospital, opened on June 15, attracting nearly 500 athletes to participate.

Participating in this year's tournament are athletes from agencies, units, organizations and individuals living, studying and working in Can Tho City and other localities.

Among them are typical units such as: SIS Can Tho International General Hospital, Can Tho Children's Hospital, Saigon - Can Tho Eye Hospital, Can Tho Cardiovascular Hospital, Can Tho Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital, Can Tho Tuberculosis Hospital, Can Tho University, FPT University Can Tho, localities such as Ninh Kieu district, O Mon district, Phong Dien district and The Green Paddle Club.

Athletes competed in many events, including women's doubles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles. The tournament took place in a lively atmosphere on the river, attracting many locals and tourists to watch and cheer.

Although it has only appeared in Vietnam in recent years, this sport is attracting a large number of participants, especially young people who love exercise and experience.

“Through the tournament, the city hopes to create more useful playgrounds, contributing to improving the health and spiritual life of the people, while attracting tourists to Can Tho.

I request the referees to uphold their sense of responsibility and ensure that the competitions are objective, fair and accurate," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
