According to statistics from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, South Korea is currently the largest market sending tourists to Vietnam. In February alone, more than 468,000 South Korean visitors came to Vietnam, demonstrating the sustainable attraction of Vietnam as a destination for Korean tourists.
On the other hand, the number of Vietnamese tourists traveling to Korea also recorded a significant increase. The Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam informed that in the first 5 months of this year alone, there were about 224,000 Vietnamese tourists coming to Korea, an increase of nearly 11% compared to the same period in 2024.

Mr. Kim Jong Hoon - Acting Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization - said that in 2024, for the first time, the number of two-way tourists between Vietnam and Korea exceeded 5 million.
Of these, 510,000 Vietnamese tourists visited Korea and 4.6 million Korean tourists visited Vietnam. This is considered a memorable milestone in the process of exchange and cooperation since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.
These steady growth figures not only reflect the growing demand for tourism but also show the vast potential for expanding cultural, people and experience connections between the two countries.
In the context of flourishing bilateral tourism cooperation, the Korea Travel Festa 2025 event held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 21 and 22 brought a rich experience space, contributing to deepening the tourism relationship between Vietnam and Korea.

The event gathered more than 30 booths from tourism organizations, cultural promotion agencies and related units, introducing a variety of activities such as tour information, visas, cultural experiences, technology, performing arts... suitable for many groups of tourists, from young people to families and middle-aged guests.
For the first time in Vietnam, Korea also introduced a model of selling tourism products through an e-commerce platform - a new, modern approach that is suitable for today's experiential consumption trend.
Notably, within the framework of the event, coach Kim Sang-sik - who has made great contributions to recent achievements of Vietnamese football - was officially appointed as the Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism in Vietnam.
In his new position, he expressed his honor to be a bridge between the two cultures: "I feel that Vietnam and Korea are becoming closer through football. In the future, I will do my best to further promote exchange activities between the two countries.
Through that, I will introduce to the Vietnamese people the natural scenery, the diverse and rich traditional and modern culture, along with the warm feelings of the Korean people. I will also constantly try to make Vietnamese football and culture receive more attention in Korea."
