Nearly 200 teachers are trained to improve their teaching capacity in Math and Vietnamese using the Canh Dieu book series.

During 2 days (June 23-24), the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Vietnam Publishing Investment and Educational Equipment Company, Ho Chi Minh City branch, to organize training and fostering to improve teaching capacity of Mathematics and Vietnamese language in the Canh Dieu book series, implementing the 2018 General Education Program at the primary level. Nearly 200 teachers who are group leaders of grades 4 and 5 in primary schools, and specialists from the Departments of Education and Training in the province participated.

During the 2 days, the training focused on topics of teaching methods for Math and Vietnamese towards developing students' qualities and abilities; assessment techniques according to Circular 27/2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training . In addition, teachers were also guided to prepare flexible lesson plans that are close to classroom practice; at the same time, they discussed and resolved difficulties in implementing the teaching of Math and Vietnamese and 2 lesson plans for Math and Vietnamese.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ai, the 2018 General Education Program has been implemented for 5 years for primary school from grade 1 to grade 5. The Canh Dieu book series is one of the book series approved by the Ministry of Education and Training and is being implemented in many localities, including Phu Yen province, which has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for use in the province. With many innovations in content, methods and presentation, the book series requires teachers to constantly update, train, and master the program and textbooks to organize teaching and learning in the most effective way.
