Dalat Flower Festival aims for national and international scale

(NLDO)- Da Lat Flower Festival affirms that this is the Flower Festival city of Vietnam, a creative city in the field of music by UNESCO.

On November 5, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to hold a press conference to inform about the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024.

Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of Lam Dong province chaired the press conference.

Speaking at the press conference, Director of Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Trung Kien said that with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors", this Festival continues to affirm Da Lat as the flower festival city of Vietnam, a creative city in the field of music of UNESCO and a city in the "group of 5 impressive festival cities of Asia."

The festival is not only a festival for the people of Lam Dong province, but also a meeting place for domestic and international tourists to experience the unique cultural and tourism values of Da Lat. The event continues to affirm and honor the values of flowers and floriculture in Da Lat.

The event is on a provincial scale, aiming for a national and international scale, taking place throughout 2024, with a peak in December.

The Organizing Committee said that the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 has 10 main programs, including: Opening; art program to welcome the new year 2025 combined with the closing ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; flower space; International workshop "Da Lat develops green tourism and cultural industry from diverse natural resources and local culture"; art program: Bao Loc, Huong Tra - Sac To city; exhibition, introduction and trade promotion of OCOP products of Da Lat Flower Festival 2024; wine - tea - coffee street and specialties of Da Lat - Lam Dong; Da Lat vegetable - flower market, a miracle crystallization from the good land; Da Lat - Chuncheon (Korea) international cultural and artistic exchange; Flower and Heritage street carnival (flower car parade, flower fashion, street art).

Organizing Committee expects to welcome 2 million visitors to Lam Dong during Da Lat Flower Festival

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S added that this Flower Festival has many differences compared to the previous 9 Flower Festivals. The main program will be held in December 2024 (from December 5 to December 31), with innovative content, many new cultural and artistic events of international stature...

According to Mr. Pham S, Lam Dong province did not use the state budget to organize the festival. This year's festival had the cooperation of the whole society.

In addition to the main programs, the Festival also has 12 response programs and many other new and attractive programs implemented by organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province. The flower space is expanded to parks, landscapes, streets, residential areas, tourist areas in Da Lat City and surrounding areas with the active participation and companionship of businesses, organizations and households.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong suggested that the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, in addition to focusing on organizing activities, should pay attention to building the cultural style of Da Lat people "Gentle - Elegant - Hospitable", while also paying attention to environmental issues, urban beautification, and creating more green tourism products for visitors.

The opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 will be broadcast live on VTV at 8:00 p.m. on December 5 from Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City. The unique art program is elaborately and magnificently staged, with new effects presented through the sound and lighting system.

The art program to welcome the new year 2025 combined with the closing ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024, at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City at 8:00 p.m., December 31.

The Organizing Committee expects to welcome 2 million visitors to Lam Dong this time.
