Many Facebook users were recently confused when their personal pages suddenly looked strange, as if they had been taken over by hackers. Information displayed as “Digital content creator”, the number of followers increased abnormally, and the post was changed to public mode, making many people worried.
However, this is not a sign of being hacked, but rather the account has activated “Pro Mode” - Facebook's new feature for content creators. This mode allows users to keep their friends the same but expand their reach without limits, supporting analytics and monetization tools.
Some of the changes include: “Digital Creator” labels, engagement stats, privacy customization, and enhanced comment management tools. If eligible, users can monetize content with Reels ads, long/short videos , and exclusive content subscriptions. Facebook aims to turn personal pages into places to build personal brands without the need for separate fan pages.
