Ericsson to promote 5G training in Vietnam

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), a world leader in telecommunications, and the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) have announced a strategic partnership to equip Vietnamese students with the necessary knowledge and skills in 5G and related digital technologies.

Ericsson is the world's leading corporation in the telecommunications field.

Ms. Rita Mokbel, President of Ericsson Vietnam, shared: “We believe that this initiative will equip the young generation of Vietnam with knowledge of the most advanced technologies, not only in the telecommunications sector but also in other sectors such as transportation. Cooperation programs like this will help Vietnam build a team of experts ready to accompany the Government 's digital strategy.”

Within the framework of this cooperation, Ericsson will support the deployment of practical 5G applications in Vietnam in many different industries, pioneering the railway industry. Ericsson will send experts to directly participate in teaching and organizing seminars on 5G technology and practical applications, especially in the field of high-speed railways...

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Principal of the University of Transport, said: "This cooperation not only contributes to improving the quality of the University's training program, but it will also be an important opportunity to promote research and development of modern solutions serving the transportation industry, including the high-speed railway system in Vietnam."

As Vietnam moves towards a digital economy with 5G, equipping students with knowledge about 5G and other advanced technologies will help the country exploit the full potential of this technology, while promoting the national digitalization process. Through training human resources, deploying appropriate infrastructure and encouraging the community to develop new applications, Ericsson hopes to accompany Vietnam in building a sustainable digital economy.
