VNG attended the National Achievement Exhibition: 21 years of creating technological values, accompanying Vietnam's digital future

VNG's exhibition space is arranged in 3 areas "Independence - Freedom - Happiness", reflecting the maturity of a technology enterprise along with the development of the country. Realizing the goal of Digital Nation

Since its establishment in 2004, over the past two decades, VNG has continuously researched and created technology, becoming a pillar in Vietnam's digital ecosystem, with pioneering products supporting the National Digital Transformation Strategy (Resolution 57/NQ-TW). Notable achievements include:

Zalo: With more than 78 million users - Zalo has become an essential digital infrastructure in public administration, social security and healthcare. Information channels of state agencies on Zalo OA, Zalo Mini App play an important, effective and practical role as a bridge between people and the government.

Zalopay: VNG's open payment platform has cooperated with the Center for Research, Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR - Ministry of Public Security) to deploy electronic identification authentication and research on integrating payment gateways on VNeID, affirming an effective and creative companion model between the State and businesses in the digital age.

Consistent with social responsibility

Along with technology development, VNG always strives to closely link corporate mission with social responsibility, bringing sustainable and practical values to the community.

Disaster response: In early 2025, Zalo coordinated with the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to send more than 35 million cold warning messages to people in the northern provinces, ensuring timely information and effective relief.

Social security: VNG and the Dream Creation Fund (DMF) have jointly implemented many practical social security projects, typically collaborating with the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to donate classrooms and sanitation facilities to Sa Tong Kindergarten No. 2 (Dien Bien); collaborating with the Ministry of Public Security to donate 10 social housing houses to poor households in Vinh Binh commune, An Giang province - contributing to the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide under the direction of the Prime Minister.

Pioneering AI

VNG is investing heavily in AI across all three layers: Platform, Infrastructure and Application. In addition to strong commercialization efforts, VNG is also actively promoting AI community development initiatives, contributing to shaping the AI ecosystem in Vietnam:

AI Research: In early 2025, Zalo cooperated with the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) to launch the Vietnamese LLM Development Report based on the VMLU standard set, providing it for free to support research and training of large language models.

Training cooperation: In May 2025, VNG signed a cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City National University, committing to sponsor 25 billion VND in 3 years for research and development (R&D) activities, accompanying the training of at least 1,000 high-quality students. In addition, VNG also established an AI Research & Laboratory at its headquarters, providing GPUs for young research groups.

AI Alliance: At the end of June 2025, Zalo joined Au Lac - the first AI Alliance in Vietnam, committed to developing community-oriented AI technology and promoting national digital transformation.

AI Cloud Ecosystem: VNG Cloud launched a comprehensive AI ecosystem, helping Vietnamese businesses optimize costs and easily integrate into the system, ensuring compliance with domestic data regulations. In 2024, GreenNode, VNG's main AI Cloud branch, also launched Southeast Asia's first large-scale AI Cloud infrastructure in Bangkok.

With its achievements, VNG has been listed in the “Top 500 largest enterprises in Southeast Asia” by Fortune magazine; won the “AI Enterprise of the Year” award by Globee Awards; and was honored as a “Great Place to Work” by the global workplace culture agency - Great Place to Work for 3 consecutive years. Most recently, VNG was also listed in the Top 100 private enterprises contributing the most to the State Budget (Private 100) for the second consecutive year.

The National Achievements Exhibition is a key event in a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), to honor and introduce the country's outstanding achievements over 80 years of protection, construction and development under the leadership of the Party and State.
