On August 28, at the headquarters of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs ), the closing ceremony of the training course on teaching Vietnamese for overseas Vietnamese teachers in 2025 took place.
Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Professor-PhD Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Associate Professor-PhD Nguyen Lan Trung, President of the Vietnam Linguistics Association, Vice President and General Secretary of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese; along with representatives of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, lecturers, experts and 80 overseas Vietnamese teachers from 15 countries and territories attending the training course.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien emphasized that after more than two weeks of serious work, the 2025 Vietnamese Language Teaching Training Course for Overseas Vietnamese Teachers has completed nearly 20 sessions with many practical topics on modern Vietnamese language teaching methods, digital technology application, classroom organization, teaching literary appreciation, etc. Along with that are seminars, teaching practice and practical experiences in many localities.
In particular, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien highly appreciated the fact that for the first time, the trainees of the training course participated in performing at the Gala Program "Loving Vietnamese Language" and the Award Ceremony "Vietnamese Language Ambassadors Abroad" 2025, contributing to bringing a special performance, contributing to the overall success of the event.
Affirming that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese will continue to accompany and provide practical support to build a global network of Vietnamese teachers, the Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese believes that after returning to their home countries, teachers will become "language ambassadors", spreading the love for the Vietnamese language, fostering national pride and contributing to preserving Vietnamese cultural identity in the overseas Vietnamese community.
On this occasion, the leaders of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese sent their thanks to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the Vietnam Education Publishing House, and the lecturers and experts who accompanied and contributed to the success of the Training Course.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor-Doctor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, congratulated the training course on its great success; affirmed that he will continue to accompany the mission of teaching Vietnamese to the Vietnamese community abroad.
Professor-PhD Hoang Anh Tuan said that in the coming time, the school will build and edit a set of Vietnamese teaching materials for many levels, which not only teach the language but also integrate culture and history, helping teachers have more quality materials to convey to students.
At the Closing Ceremony, representatives of the Course participants expressed their thanks to the Organizing Committee for creating opportunities to learn Vietnamese teaching methods and appropriate learning materials, as well as to connect and learn from teachers and colleagues from all over the world.

As an annual activity, the Vietnamese language teaching training course for overseas Vietnamese teachers organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese not only aims to improve professional qualifications, pedagogical skills and update knowledge, but also creates opportunities for teachers to learn more about the history, culture and traditions of the nation.
Through visits to historical sites, museums and scenic spots in Hanoi and neighboring localities, students have had rich experiences, thereby nurturing their attachment to their homeland and further motivating them to continue spreading the Vietnamese language in Vietnamese communities around the world.
