On August 12, Sports & Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) introduced the music video (MV) "Swear for Peace" - a meaningful musical product commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

This song was composed by musician Nguyen Van Chung, performed by singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh. The MV was directed by Dang Xuan Truong.

The work is a simple and solemn tribute to the People's Public Security force, depicting the enduring beauty, discipline and spirit of serving the people of soldiers in peacetime.

The inspiration for “Oath for Peace” came in the blazing April sun, amid the intense training days of the units participating in the A50 parade (celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification).

After performing and exchanging at the training ground, musician Nguyen Van Chung had the opportunity to closely observe the lessons, shooting and martial arts practice sessions, and the orderly footsteps. There, he saw the concentration, the drops of sweat, and the silent pride on the faces of the young soldiers. Those everyday details awakened his emotions and urged him to take up his pen and compose.

Musically, " Vuyen Oai Vi Binh An" is a modern march. The melody is written in a declarative spirit, focusing on the clarity of the lyrics and the solidity of the rhythm so that it can resonate in many spaces. The verse goes from low to high step by step to accumulate emotions; the chorus opens up a wide range, placing bright notes at the climax, suitable for the feeling of chorus and connection.

That inspiration met the persistent creative flow of singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh - who often came to units and training grounds to sing, to listen and to empathize.

When the audio version was completed, Nguyen Duyen Quynh could have stopped at a polished recording. But she chose a different path: Bringing the song back to the space that created its emotions.

So Duyen Quynh invited director Dang Xuan Truong to cooperate and make the MV at People's Security College I.

The audience will follow the journey of a female People's Police cadet - a symbol of today's generation continuing the tradition. The character goes through learning and training spaces: Theory classroom, shooting range, martial arts arena, command formation, parade square.

During three days of filming, the crew, lecturers and students worked continuously in extremely hot weather.

Behind the perfect image of singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh in the MV is the silent but fierce support of the staff, lecturers and students of the People's Security College I. They do not appear as just "actors" but are truly professional advisors, "keepers" of professional accuracy, and "teammates" on set.

The instructors directly guide the movements, commands, tactics, and equipment usage; correct each hand position, stance, and step. Thanks to that, each frame is both technically correct and in line with the spirit of the force. The peak heat of late July does not slow down the progress; the seriousness in training is transformed into seriousness on set.

Director Dang Xuan Truong briefly shared about the creative spirit: "We did not recreate the heroism with a backdrop, but let the determination appear from the eyes, steps and sweat."

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Lan Phuong, Lecturer of the Security Intelligence Department, who directly guided Duyen Quynh in the filming scenes, shared: "Duyen Quynh is an artist, so when transforming into a People's Police officer, she will certainly encounter difficulties when having to use the force's equipment, as well as command and martial arts movements. However, with her intelligence and agility, along with the support of the People's Security College I, the singer quickly integrated and mastered those contents, transforming into a real People's Police officer."

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien Thuat, Editor-in-Chief of Sports and Culture Newspaper, said that this project is a new step, not only "following behind" to award the Dedication Cup, but also "going along" to pave the way for the work in life.

“From the foundation of appraisal, discovery and honor of the Dedication Award, the newspaper is shifting from 'honoring at the end' to 'accompanying from the beginning', proactively supporting, connecting and spreading as soon as the product is completed. This approach shortens the distance between artist-work-public, helping artistic messages reach the right audience at the right time, while paving the way for projects rich in humanistic, historical and cultural values to enter life,” said Mr. Nguyen Thien Thuat./.
