On August 20, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company (located in Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh Province), said that this unit has just coordinated to put into operation the Hai Phong - Vung Ang container transport route. This container route is expected to operate 1 trip/week.
The first ship named MACSTAR HAI PHONG from Hai Phong has arrived at Vung Ang port ( Ha Tinh province) to load and unload cargo containers for businesses in Vung Ang Economic Zone.
The Hai Phong - Vung Ang container shipping route put into operation contributes to ensuring the connection of import and export goods in existing and upcoming industrial parks in Ha Tinh with Hai Phong International Transit Port with competitive costs, superior transportation capacity and emission reduction.

To facilitate businesses investing in Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh province in particular, and the region in general, to trade with Hai Phong International Transit Port and to transit to countries around the world by sea transport.
The transport route reduces pressure on road infrastructure, continues to increase the attractiveness index in attracting investment in Vung Ang Economic Zone; increases jobs and income for workers; contributes to promoting the development of logistics services and seaports according to the policy of Ha Tinh province.

The operation of the Hai Phong - Vung Ang container route not only opens up a new direction for regional maritime transport but also affirms the increasingly important role of Vung Ang port in the international supply chain.
This event is expected to create new momentum to attract investment and develop logistics services in Ha Tinh.
