The tourism industry, which had just recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic, was suddenly hit hard by storm No. 3. With its strong intensity and terrible destruction, the storm caused a lot of damage to tourist areas, routes, cruise ships, accommodation facilities, etc. in the province. However, with the spirit of the more difficult and arduous, the more determined and determined to overcome, the tourism industry promptly overcame the incidents and damage caused by storms and rains, welcoming visitors back immediately after storm YAGI passed.

Currently, there are about 500 tourist boats in Ha Long Bay taking visitors to visit the destinations and staying overnight on the bay. According to the report of the Department of Transport, storm No. 3 caused 27 tourist boats and 4 transport boats to sink, and dozens of boats to be damaged. Not only property damage, after the storm, hundreds of tons of garbage from aquaculture rafts and post-storm garbage drifted everywhere in Ha Long Bay. To immediately restore the clean image of the heritage, the Ha Long Bay Management Board launched the "3-day cleaning campaign for Ha Long Bay" with the participation of over 50 vehicles, nearly 200 officers, employees and soldiers of the Ha Long Bay Management Board, the provincial armed forces, and businesses operating tourism services on the bay. Hundreds of rafts, hundreds of cubic meters of various types of waste such as branches, leaves, styrofoam buoys, household waste, etc. were collected and treated. With the support of agencies and units, and the joint efforts of many officers, soldiers and businesses, the situation of waste causing loss of aesthetics and environmental pollution after the storm has been basically overcome, bringing a clean and beautiful landscape to the heritage bay.

For the tourist fleet, the ship owners quickly repaired the damage, ensuring the safety of the vehicles, ready to welcome tourists to visit Ha Long Bay. The port infrastructure was also urgently repaired, with suitable plans to welcome tourists. Tourism service businesses took advantage of the opportunity to restore production and business activities. Immediately after the storm, more than 350 tourist ships for sightseeing and accommodation resumed operations to welcome guests, meeting the needs of tourists. Nearly 90% of the tourist ships at Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port have stabilized operations and welcomed guests again.

In just a short time of urgently overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, the World Heritage - Natural Wonder of Ha Long Bay has welcomed and served visitors to the routes, sightseeing spots, and overnight stays on the bay. Currently, basically all spots have met the safety conditions and are welcoming and serving tourists. With great efforts and determination to soon bring tourism activities back after the storm, 2 weeks after the storm, Ha Long Bay welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors, of which nearly 90% were foreign visitors from Korea, India, Europe, America...

Along with other tourist attractions in the province, Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area also suffered heavy damage due to the impact of storm No. 3. However, with the determination to stabilize operations soon, the management units here have urgently overcome the consequences, ensuring safety conditions, and the reception of people and tourists to Yen Tu for sightseeing and worshiping Buddha has been restored to normal just a few days after the storm, ensuring smooth and safe operation.

After storm No. 3, tourist areas and routes in the province are urgently overcoming the damage, determined to welcome tourists back soon, and restore tourism activities. Despite suffering heavy losses due to the storm, Quang Ninh is still determined and steadfast in completing the goal of welcoming 19 million tourists in 2024, including 3.5 million international visitors.
