News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/14/2024
Domestic market on July 14, 2025
Domestic pepper prices on July 14, 2025 are forecast to remain stable or increase slightly. The Vietnamese pepper market is currently in a balanced phase, after many previous increases. The export price of 500 g/l black pepper remained at around 6,440 USD/ton, 550 g/l at 6,570 USD/ton, while the price of white pepper remained at 9,150 USD/ton.
Experts say that domestic price movements will depend largely on farmers’ selling decisions and export performance. If supply from major producing countries such as Indonesia and Brazil continues to be limited, domestic pepper prices will be supported to increase. Conversely, if these countries sell simultaneously to lock in profits, prices may be under downward pressure.
International market on July 14, 2025
The forecast for world pepper prices on July 14, 2025 is stable and slightly increasing, although there are still fluctuations in each country. In addition, the US's imposition of high reciprocal tariffs on Brazil (50%) and Indonesia (32%) creates a competitive advantage for Vietnamese pepper in the world market. With global pepper output forecast to continue to decrease in 2025, Vietnam has the opportunity to grow strongly if it can take advantage of its advantages in quality and clean products.
Domestic and world pepper prices on July 14, 2025 are expected to be stable with a slight upward trend, affected by limited supply and the US's reciprocal tax policy, bringing advantages to Vietnamese pepper in the context of global market fluctuations.
