From the times he met and interacted with fans, Vietnamese audiences realized that he was very cool on stage but humorous and approachable off stage. DPR Ian did not hesitate to take photos with any audience member, and even posed happily and "hard to resist".

Love bun cha, once ate 4 bowls of pho at once
DPR Ian shared with the media at the recent music festival: "When I first came to Vietnam, I didn't know what to expect, but I always wanted to come to Vietnam to perform and visit, because I had heard so many good things about Vietnam. Many of my friends in Australia are also Vietnamese.
That time was one of my best memories. Everyone in Vietnam was so friendly and warm. The audience knew how to give their all, so it was easy for me to be myself on stage. And that gave me the motivation to come back a second time and continue performing. I am truly grateful."

To make his performance at 8Wonder more special, he changed a few seconds of his intro with a short piece of music inspired by traditional Vietnamese music.
On this trip, in addition to performing, DPR Ian also planned to stay and eat because he loves Vietnamese cuisine. He and his crew will find many delicious dishes in Hanoi, especially bun cha. As for pho, DPR Ian likes to eat this dish in Hanoi because the broth is very clear and light.
"I especially like the broth in pho, last time I ate four bowls of pho in a row. I ate a bit too much but I really enjoyed it" - he laughed.
