Vietnam team has "change" before match with Syria

According to research, coach Troussier recently decided to remove 3 players including Viet Anh, Xuan Manh and Van Duc from the list of the Vietnamese team.

Viet Anh was eliminated from the Vietnam national team.

Of which, Viet Anh and Van Duc did not play in the match against Hong Kong (China) on June 15.

Both were allowed to play in a friendly match with Hai Phong Club by the French coach, but failed to leave an impression and were eliminated.

In the case of Xuan Manh, this player was sent onto the field by coach Troussier in the second half of the match against Hong Kong.

Xuan Manh played with great effort and had a shot that hit the crossbar of the opponent's goal.

But in his position there are still classy names like Tuan Anh, Hai Huy or Hoang Duc so the chance of competing for the position is not high.

After deciding to eliminate 3 players, Coach Troussier also promoted 3 other names of U23 Vietnam to the national team.

The players chosen by the strategist born in 1955 are Thai Son, Duc Phu and Van Viet.

Midfield duo Thai Son and Duc Phu were used quite a lot by coach Troussier at SEA Games 32.

These two young stars are highly appreciated for their hard-working playing style, willingness to move and actively support defense.

Meanwhile, after impressive performances for SLNA, goalkeeper Van Viet has caught the eye of Mr. Troussier. Notably, this is also the first time he has been called up to the Vietnam national team.

Although he doesn't have much experience in competition, Van Viet has shown his reflexes and ability to enter and exit appropriately.

According to the schedule, the match between Vietnam and Syria will take place at 7:30 p.m. on June 20.
