'The Walking Dead' actor dies at 33

Actress Kelley Mack, who played Addy in season 9 of the hit series 'The Walking Dead', has passed away at the age of 33 after a long battle with glioma.

According to Independent , Kelley Mack, whose real name is Kelley Klebenow, breathed her last on August 2 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after being diagnosed with a glioma in the central nervous system. This sad news was confirmed by the actress's relatives on her Instagram account on August 5.

Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33.

In a post on her personal page, the family emotionally wrote: "It is with indelible sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kelley. Such a bright light, such a passionate flame has passed on to the other world , where we all must eventually go."

Kelley Mack's family said a memorial service will be held on August 16 in Ohio and a celebration of her life will be held in Los Angeles, USA at a later date. Los Angeles is where Kelley lived and worked for the past 11 years, where she devoted herself to her passion for art.

Kelley Mack: From First Film to Unfinished Project

Before her role on the hit AMC series, Mack appeared in several short films and television miniseries, including Unusual Suspects (2015), Grayson: Earth One (2015), Not Your Average Joe (2016) , and Unscrewed (2016) . Over the course of her career, she has racked up dozens of television and film roles, demonstrating her versatility and relentless drive.

Additionally, Kelley Mack appeared in episodes of 9-1-1 in 2019 and Chicago Med in 2022. She is also a familiar face in many major commercials for brands such as Budweiser, Dr Pepper, Dairy Queen, and Chick-fil-A.

Kelley Mack’s final project, both on screen and as an executive producer, was the upcoming Universal (2025) . Just weeks before her death, she was still full of enthusiasm, sharing an Instagram post promoting the film’s world premiere at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
