Drill on preventing cyber attacks targeting businesses

DNVN - The Department of Information and Communications of Kien Giang has just coordinated with the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) and the Security Bootcamp Expert Community to successfully organize the program "Security Bootcamp 2024" with the theme "Humanity", taking place from September 28 to 29. The event gathered more than 300 experts in the field of Cyber Security in Vietnam.

Spreading vocational skills among the young generation

Mr. Vu The Binh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Internet Association, said that the Security Bootcamp community is reinvesting the program's profits into purchasing equipment and technology, aiming to improve the professional quality of the "Information Security Arena."

At the event, Mr. Le Pham Thien Hong An, Head of IoT Security Research Team of VNPT Information Security Center, shared about the discovery of a serious security vulnerability by VNPT's security experts that can control Drones in less than 1 minute.

Mr. Bui Tuan Anh, Head of Technology and Expert Services at VSEC, said that AI is opening a new era in the field of cybersecurity. This technology promises to solve the biggest challenges facing cybersecurity operations teams, from shortening response times, reducing costs, improving efficiency, to improving scalability.

Cyber Security Arena

This year, the program "Cyber Security Arena" took place with the participation of 22 teams, each team consisting of 3 members.

Teams participated in a simulation environment of a corporate network that had just been attacked.

Businesses require information security experts to perform three main tasks: AI analyzes and finds the cause of hackers bypassing biometric systems to penetrate; Forensic searches for evidence of system control and recovers encrypted data; Attac searches for weaknesses and takes control of the system.
