Hanoi University of Science and Technology adds combination K01 to all admission codes

In addition to the 10 combinations used for the previous admission period, this year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology added the K01 combination for all 65 admission codes.

According to the 2025 university admission information announced by Hanoi University of Science and Technology today, June 14, this university will use 11 combinations for admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, in which combination K01 is a new combination.

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to enroll 9,680 students (an increase of 420 students compared to last year) for 65 enrollment codes.

In addition to direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will consider admission according to the following methods: talent selection, selection based on the results of the thinking assessment test in 2024 and 2025; selection based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; other selection for cases of nomination, international students under agreements and students studying at high schools abroad.

With the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates must reach the minimum score set by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (the school will announce after the 2025 high school graduation exam results are available).

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology still uses 10 admission combinations and main subjects according to previous years, including: A00, A01, A02, B00, D01, D04, D07, D26, D28 and D29 (different majors use different combinations).

Most industry codes take the A00 combination as the base combination (the benchmark will be determined based on the base combination, other combinations will be converted to the equivalent of the base combination -PV).

In addition to the original combination, Hanoi University of Science and Technology also stipulates the "bold" combination (a combination with a main subject) for each major code. The main subject is the subject with a coefficient of 2 (while the remaining subjects in the combination have a coefficient of 1). Mathematics is the main subject in most "bold" combinations.

In particular, this year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology added a new combination called K01. The K01 combination includes 3 subjects, of which math and literature are 2 compulsory subjects, the 3rd subject is one of 4 subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, computer science.

With the K01 combination, math is considered with a coefficient of 3, literature with a coefficient of 1 and the remaining subjects of the 4 subjects physics, chemistry, biology, and IT have a coefficient of 2. The K01 combination is used for all 65 admission codes.
