Does wearing multiple layers of masks cause cerebral anemia?

Recently, I have had symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and lightheadedness similar to cerebral anemia. Doctor, could you tell me if wearing too many layers of mask is causing cerebral anemia? (T. Dao, 35 years old, in Ho Chi Minh City).

Dr. Le Viet Thang , Department of Neurosurgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, answered:

There is currently no research showing that wearing multiple layers of masks or wearing them too tightly will cause cerebral anemia. This is just the patient's inference and conjecture.

Cerebral ischemia is a condition of reduced blood flow to the brain leading to lack of oxygen to the brain and reduced nutrients to the brain, causing nerve cells to lack energy to function, affecting the structure, existence and development of the central nervous system.

There are many causes of cerebral hemorrhage such as cerebral atherosclerosis. That is, there are narrow arteries that reduce blood flow to the brain or lipid disorders, high blood lipids, especially in people with high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking.

Some typical symptoms of cerebral anemia include headache, severe headache, dizziness, unsteadiness, tinnitus, memory loss, loss of concentration...

Therefore, you need to see a specialist to find out the cause of the above symptoms and have appropriate treatment.
