Math exam for grade 10 in Hanoi: Students praise the test as easy, only "letting go" of the last question

Thao Chi - a student at Nguyen Du Secondary School - said that the math test was easier than the previous survey and review tests. Thao Chi was very interested in the practical problems in the test. She did well in the questions on probability and statistics and Viet's theorem.

Thao Chi did not do the last question. According to the female student, the test was easy to get 8 points for good students.

As for candidate Minh Quan, he prepared himself mentally for a difficult and strange exam, but the official exam was much easier.

"The test is basic, within the scope of my review knowledge," Quan said. He was confident he would get over 9 points.

According to the sample exam published last September, the 10th grade math exam in Hanoi in 2025 includes 3 parts: Algebra, geometry and probability statistics.

Compared to 2024, this year's exam has many questions that exploit real-life problems, helping students approach problems in life through mathematics. Thanks to that, students not only need knowledge but also need to understand how to apply that knowledge to specific situations.

Math is also the final exam, concluding the 10th grade public entrance exam for candidates who do not take the specialized exam.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the entire city of Hanoi has about 127,000 9th graders. The actual number of candidates taking the 10th grade public exam through two exams in literature and English is about 102,400. The total enrollment target including specialized schools is approximately 81,000.
