Receiving and working with Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan, Governor of Sindh province, Mr. Kamran Khan Tesorri gave an overview of the province's socio -economic development. Sindh province, with its largest city Karachi, has an economic scale accounting for 35% of Pakistan's GDP and outstanding strengths in the fields of seaports, logistics, industry, banking and finance, and food processing.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan highly appreciated the development vision and commitment to supporting businesses of the leaders of Sindh province. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to promote substantive cooperation in areas of strength such as agriculture , industry, textiles, fisheries and investment. Governor Kamran Khan Tesorri pledged to provide maximum support to Vietnamese business delegations to Karachi, and was ready to connect investors from both countries with specific projects, emphasizing the viewpoint of "action instead of formal memorandums of understanding".
During the working trip, the Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan coordinated with the Pakistan Fisheries Association to organize a workshop on "Fisheries Cooperation: Strategic Linkage and Sustainable Development". The two sides agreed to establish direct cooperation channels between fisheries management agencies, promote Halal standard recognition, strengthen association-enterprise linkages, and encourage joint venture projects, technology transfer, and human resource training. The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is ready to support Pakistani enterprises in accessing the market, especially with Halal products serving the Muslim community.

One of the main activities of the delegation in Karachi was to coordinate with the Pakistan Tea Association to organize a workshop on "Developing Vietnam's tea industry according to Halal standards to increase exports to Pakistan". The workshop was held in person and online with 14 participating locations, including representatives from Lam Dong, Thai Nguyen, Lai Chau, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc , Ha Giang and Yen Bai provinces, which are the provinces with the largest tea production in Vietnam.
At the workshop, the two sides discussed the potential for cooperation and sought solutions to increase tea exports, especially CTC black tea under Halal standards to Pakistan. The Ambassador proposed to increase the exchange of business delegations, organize trade promotion programs, promote products and build the Vietnamese tea brand in the Pakistani market.
Representatives of businesses from both sides frankly discussed practical difficulties such as technical barriers, quarantine regulations, traceability and customs clearance procedures. Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the Embassy and the Vietnamese Trade Office in Pakistan will accompany and support businesses in removing obstacles, promoting more substantive and effective cooperation in the tea sector, contributing to the growth of bilateral trade turnover in the coming time.

During the working trip, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan also had a working session with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The Ambassador emphasized the potential for trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of textiles, agriculture, information technology, tourism and fisheries. The Ambassador proposed establishing direct cooperation between KCCI and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), enhancing business-to-business dialogue (B2B), organizing bilateral trade fairs and exhibitions, and committed to creating favorable conditions for Pakistani businesses to visit Vietnam to survey the market and connect with partners.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan met and visited the Vietnamese community living and working in Karachi. The Ambassador listened to their thoughts and aspirations, affirming that the Embassy is always a support for the overseas Vietnamese community to preserve their identity, promote the tradition of solidarity and contribute to promoting the image of Vietnam in Pakistan.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan laid flowers and visited the Mausoleum of Mohammed Ali Jinnah - the founder of Pakistan, expressing his respect for the history, culture and traditional friendship between the two countries. Also during the visit, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan met and worked with the Chairman of the Pakistan Arts Council in Karachi, discussing cultural and artistic cooperation initiatives, aiming to enhance people-to-people exchanges, promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam and Pakistan, contributing to strengthening the foundation of friendship between the two nations.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan's working trip to Karachi has contributed to deepening the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan, opening up opportunities for practical and effective cooperation in the coming time.
