Mr. Bui Van Nghia, Deputy Director of Project Management Board of Region VI (former Huu Lung district) said: To implement Sub-project 1, the unit was assigned to be the investor of 32 works with a total investment of 177 billion VND. As soon as the task was assigned, the unit proactively coordinated with relevant agencies and units to carry out investment preparation work. During the implementation process, the unit regularly coordinated to inspect, urge, and remove arising obstacles of the contractor to speed up the project implementation progress. Thereby, up to now, the works have been completed and put into use.
Together with the Project Management Board of Region VI, the investors implementing the works under Sub-project 1 in the province have also proactively reviewed the list, urgently implemented investment preparation steps as well as directed the contractors to synchronously and drastically implement solutions to speed up the construction progress. Up to now, implementing Sub-project 1, the whole province has invested in 572 works of all kinds. Thereby, more than 315 km of roads to commune centers and inter-commune roads have been hardened; 16 commune health stations have been newly built, renovated and repaired; 9 markets have been newly built, renovated and upgraded; 217 works of all kinds have been maintained... The disbursement results are expected to reach 98% of the allocated capital plan by the end of 2025.
Mr. Pham Duc Huan, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, said: In recent years, the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in the province has been closely directed and implemented by all levels and sectors, achieving positive results. In particular, the implementation of Sub-Project 1 under Project 4 has achieved high progress and disbursement results. The completed works and projects have been effective, creating favorable conditions for daily life, production development and increasing income for the people.
Mr. Hoang Van Bo, Khon Hau village, Van Quan commune said: Previously, the Khon Hau - Lung Liu road ( Hoa Binh commune, old Van Quan district) was a winding, narrow dirt road with many steep passes, making it very difficult for people to travel, especially when it rained. In 2023, from the capital of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, the State invested in building a 3m wide concrete road, with 1m wide sidewalks on each side. The road was widened and the solid concrete created favorable conditions for travel as well as economic development of the people in the village.
Along with the road project in Khon Hau village, the completion of other projects and works under Sub-project 1 has significantly contributed to facilitating people's daily life and production development. The poverty rate in the period decreased by 2.71%/year; it is expected that by 2025, the average income per capita will reach 69.41 million VND/person/year...
In the coming time, the implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas will be adjusted to suit practical conditions. With the achieved results and experiences in implementing the program for the period 2021-2025, it is believed that in the coming time, the implementation of the program will continue to achieve even more positive results, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks in the province.
