According to SEPMU, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project currently has no more land to build service roads along the route to serve the construction of the packages. Specifically, package XL01, construction of the expressway section from the intersection of Ring Road 2 to the end of Long Thanh Bridge and package XL02, construction of the expressway section from after Long Thanh Bridge to the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. Therefore, to construct the packages, it is necessary to access the construction site from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
To have a basis for implementing the next steps of the project, SEPMU sent relevant units a plan to ensure traffic safety for the construction of 2 packages to get opinions on completing plans for personnel and equipment management in and out of the construction site; traffic control procedures; installation of signboards, barriers, etc.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project, with a length of about 22km, is being implemented in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province. The project has a total investment of nearly 15 trillion VND and was started on August 19, 2025.
