Unlike previous musical works, “Today’s Country” is constructed as a musical epic, consisting of 6 chapters: “Origins”, “Building and defending the country”, “The country rises”, “Declaration”, “Integration”, “Future”.

The work combines epic and lyrical elements with diverse musical techniques, reflecting the historical journey from founding, defending, building to integration and reaching out to the future. Notably, “Today’s Country” not only recounts history through music but also guides listeners through the transformation of tone: from tragic to marching, from soaring to affirmative.

According to musician Nguyen Thanh Trung, “Today’s Country” is a musical epic with high ideological and cultural significance. The work’s 6 chapters are 6 slices of history, present and future, woven with rich musical techniques. The musician believes that the work does not fall into one-sided historical illustrations, but places people at the center, depicting through images such as parents’ sweat, tears, singing, laughter, faith, etc. It is this humane element that makes the epic a spiritual declaration of the nation.
