
In Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham area, there are 88 qualified tourist boats operating, with a capacity of 12 - 79 seats, with a total capacity of 3,125 seats, serving the diverse needs of tourists.
In the first 8 months of 2025, the number of inland waterway tourists is estimated at 898,660. The Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham route alone is estimated at more than 255,198 visitors (an increase of 9.8% over the same period in 2024). This affirms the growing attraction of sea and island tourism and inland waterway tourism.
However, waterway operations are often affected by many factors such as weather conditions, vehicle technology, human resources and operating procedures; requiring strict, synchronous management and strict compliance from businesses and crew members.

At the program, representatives of businesses, ship owners, tourist boats and crew members were exchanged and shared experiences, incident response procedures, rescue skills and raised sense of responsibility in exploiting and operating ships and boats with representatives of Da Nang Maritime Port Authority; Inspection Sub-Department No. 4 and representatives of the City Border Guard Command.
Thereby, contributing to ensuring absolute safety for tourists, while improving service quality, reputation and image of Da Nang destination in the eyes of domestic and foreign friends and tourists.
This is the second propaganda campaign in a series of specialized activities on waterway tourism security and safety in Da Nang city to improve service quality, ensure security and safety for tourists and crew members in waterway tourism activities.
