Da Lat will have a second walking street next to Xuan Huong Lake.

On May 26, news from the People's Committee of Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) said that the city will pilot the Tran Quoc Toan walking street along Xuan Huong Lake to "reduce the load" on the walking street in the central area of ​​Hoa Binh , about 1km long, operating from 7pm to 10pm every Saturday and Sunday.

The walking street has one side adjacent to Doi Cu golf course, the other side facing the poetic Xuan Huong lake.

Accordingly, this second walking street starts from the Tran Quoc Toan - Dinh Tien Hoang intersection to the City Flower Garden with a length of 1.6km.

The walking street is expected to open on Sunday evening, June 2 and the pilot period will last until December 2024.

On this walking street, the authorities organize cultural, artistic and sports activities including: artistic performances; cultural and artistic exchanges between music and street dance groups; organizing artistic roller skating, martial arts performances, and health exercises; activities of making paintings, art photos, and handicrafts; organizing weekend markets to introduce Da Lat specialties.

The Da Lat People's Committee expects the walking street to create a space for sightseeing, entertainment and relaxation for the community, domestic and foreign tourists; becoming a cultural exchange point for Da Lat people with other regions and internationally.

"Tran Quoc Toan walking street combined with the City Flower Garden, scenic spots, Xuan Huong Lake, Lam Vien Square, and Da Lat night market are expected to create a complete space, meeting the needs of tourists for sightseeing, enjoying art, culture, and cuisine , stimulating the development of trade, services, and tourism," said a representative of Da Lat City's leadership.
