DeepSeek launches upgraded Artificial Intelligence model V3.1

Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup DeepSeek on August 21 launched DeepSeek-V3.1, the latest upgraded version of its self-developed AI model.

According to the announcement published on the WeChat platform, DeepSeek-V3.1 is designed with an inference structure that combines different models to provide answers, allowing for increased processing speed, improved thinking ability, and especially improved operational power as an autonomous agent.

This is considered a remarkable step forward in the competitive efforts of Chinese technology companies in the face of the global AI boom.

In addition, DeepSeek also said that from September 6, it will adjust the cost of using API - a platform that allows web product application developers to integrate the company's AI model.

Earlier this year, DeepSeek shocked the tech world by releasing AI models that were highly competitive with international products like OpenAI's ChatGPT, with very low operating costs.

The launch of the DeepSeek-V3.1 upgrade follows two recent updates to the company's core models, including the R1 model update in May and the first upgrade of the V3 series in March./.
