According to Decision No. 4072/QD-UBND dated August 7, 2024 of the City People's Committee, Hanoi Eye Hospital was reorganized on the basis of merging Hanoi Eye Hospital and Ha Dong Eye Hospital under the Hanoi Department of Health with the name: Hanoi Eye Hospital.

The hospital's headquarters is located at 37 Hai Ba Trung Street, Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District and has a facility at 2D Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Quang Trung Ward, Ha Dong District. Hanoi Eye Hospital is a grade II specialized hospital with a total of 250 beds, of which the headquarters and facility each have 125 beds.

Immediately after the decision of the City People's Committee, the Hanoi Department of Health directed, implemented, and guided the two hospitals to complete the Project to merge Hanoi Eye Hospital and Ha Dong Eye Hospital on the principle of streamlining the organizational structure, effectively implementing medical examination and treatment work, and further developing the ophthalmology specialty.

At the conference, representatives of Hanoi Eye Hospital and Ha Dong Eye Hospital reported briefly on the current situation of the organization, finance, assets, facilities, equipment and operations of the two units.

At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Health announced the appointment decision for 5 positions including 1 director and 4 deputy directors of Hanoi Eye Hospital after the reorganization. In which, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tinh (born in 1966) was appointed as director; 4 deputy directors include: Mr. Hoang Tran Thanh (born in 1967); Mr. Pham Van Hieu (born in 1967); Ms. Pham Thi Hong Le (born in 1969); Mr. Do Van Hai (born in 1978).

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Health said that up to this point, the reorganization of Hanoi Eye Hospital on the basis of merging two hospitals has been carried out in accordance with the direction of the City People's Committee and the Department of Health.

The Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Health requested that the Hanoi Eye Hospital continue to focus on improving the job position project, the autonomy project and the operating rules and regulations. At the same time, build a hospital development plan, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, develop many specialized techniques, leading the eye industry, and be worthy of being a trusted medical examination and treatment address for the people of the capital.
