On July 12, Vinh Binh Commune Police (An Giang Province) said they had promptly stopped two groups of teenagers from gathering and preparing weapons to fight each other due to personal conflicts.

On July 9, through the work of grasping the situation in the area, Vinh Binh Commune Police discovered a group of young people, including: NVB (16 years old), LVT (16 years old), LMN (16 years old), PMN (16 years old) and LMD (17 years old) gathering, preparing weapons to go to the house of PVK (16 years old, residing in Hiep Hoa hamlet, Vinh Binh commune) to fight back due to a previous conflict.

Upon receiving the information, Vinh Binh Commune Police deployed patrol forces and promptly invited 8 related youths to the headquarters for questioning; at the same time, they temporarily seized 2 homemade knives and 1 baseball bat.

At the police station, the above teenagers admitted all their wrongdoings. The initial cause was that PVK's group was making noise by revving their motorbikes, which upset NVB's group, leading to conflicts, fights, and then they gathered to prepare weapons to fight back.
