After the storm, the Chieng Ken Commune Police force and local authorities quickly checked the affected households to deploy support forces. As of the morning of July 21, the storm had damaged the roofs of 51 houses and broken many fruit trees and crops.
In particular, the storm knocked down 1 sui tree and 1 ancient lim tree (these are 2 of 5 Vietnamese heritage trees recognized in 2017 in Ken temple) and damaged some other items in the temple.

To help households overcome the consequences of natural disasters, the Commune Police and local authorities mobilized maximum forces to help people reinforce their roofs; collect agricultural products, and clear up fallen trees to ensure safety for traffic participants. Houses with severe damage were moved to safe places to take shelter before the circulation of storm No. 3 affected the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Lu Thanh Tuc, Chief of Chieng Ken Commune Police, said that to respond to storm No. 3, the Commune Police force advised the People's Committee to disseminate information on loudspeaker systems and zalo groups so that people could grasp information and ways to prevent floods.
