(PLVN) - On June 29, the Public Security of many localities simultaneously announced Decisions on organization and personnel after unit mergers to perfect the apparatus, stabilize personnel, and meet work requirements in the new period under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security.

On the afternoon of June 29, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on personnel organization according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security for 08 comrades holding the position of Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, announced the Decisions of the Provincial Police Director on perfecting the organizational structure and arranging staff for 28 comrades Heads of professional departments of the Provincial Police; announced the Decision on regulations on organizational structure and arranging 124 comrades to hold the position of Commune-level Police Chief.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hau A Lenh, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that today's conference has a particularly important meaning, marking a historic moment in the process of restructuring the apparatus according to the Party and State's policies. The merger of the Public Security apparatus of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces is a milestone opening a new, more streamlined and effective development period for the local Public Security force. He requested the Board of Directors of Tuyen Quang Provincial Public Security to focus on directing its subordinate units to synchronously deploy key tasks, ensuring that the post-merger Public Security force quickly stabilizes its organization, operates smoothly and effectively from the very first days.

Speaking at the assignment, Major General Nguyen Duc Thuan, Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, requested that the units urgently deploy the tasks that need to be done after the merger, stabilize the organization, staff and working and living conditions of officers and soldiers, promptly issue working regulations, assign tasks in accordance with the new organizational model of each unit, absolutely do not interrupt work, affect the quality of work and service to the people, focus on successfully organizing the grassroots Party congress, towards the Tuyen Quang Public Security Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030, strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks and make worthy contributions to the development goals of Tuyen Quang province in the new era, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and People for the Tuyen Quang Public Security force.

Cao Bang Provincial Police also held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security and the Provincial Police Director on the organization of cadres according to the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of commune-level police units according to the new administrative unit and the Decision of the Provincial Police Director on personnel work, perfecting the command and staff team at 56 commune-level police units after the rearrangement. Accordingly, the Provincial Police selected and appointed 56 commune-level police chiefs, arranged deputy commune-level police chiefs and commune-level police officers to ensure meeting the requirements of a streamlined, effective, efficient organization, suitable to local realities.

The implementation process has been carried out seriously, cautiously, publicly and transparently, with the motto "choosing the right person for the job", based on the qualifications, capacity, strengths and prestige of the cadres.

The Director of Cao Bang Provincial Police requested that, after being reorganized, the police of communes and wards must quickly stabilize their organization, immediately deploy their tasks, absolutely not interrupt their work, or leave their areas vacant. At the same time, they must closely follow the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the province and strictly implement the regulations on discipline, order, and regulations of the People's Police, focus on grasping the situation at the grassroots level, early detecting, and promptly handling issues related to security and order.

On the same afternoon, Da Nang City Police and Quang Ngai Province Police simultaneously announced the personnel decisions after the merger according to the National Assembly's Resolution. Along with that, hundreds of key officials at the department, commune and ward levels were also reorganized.

Major General Nguyen Huu Hop was appointed Director of Da Nang City Police.

In Da Nang City , Major General Nguyen Huu Hop (born in 1968, from Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An), former Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police, was appointed as Director of Da Nang City Police after the merger of Quang Nam Provincial Police into Da Nang City Police. Mr. Nguyen Huu Hop is a cadre who grew up from the grassroots and has held many key positions in the people's police force.

The Minister of Public Security also decided to arrange 8 Deputy Directors of Da Nang City Police, including 3 officers from Da Nang City Police including Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong, Colonel Nguyen Van Tang, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen; 4 officers from Quang Nam Province Police including Colonel Nguyen Ha Lai; Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long; Colonel Vo Thi Trinh; Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hoang.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Trung ended his secondment to the Internal Affairs Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee and will hold the position of Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Police Department from July 1, 2025.

Da Nang City Police also announced the decision to appoint 28 department heads and equivalent, 93 commune and ward police chiefs in the area after the merger.

In Quang Ngai , Quang Ngai Provincial Police also announced personnel decisions after merging Kon Tum Provincial Police into Quang Ngai Provincial Police.

Accordingly, Colonel Ho Song An (born in 1977, from Tam An commune, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province), former Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police, was appointed to the position of Director of Quang Ngai Provincial Police from July 1, 2025.

Quang Ngai Provincial Police (new) has 5 Deputy Directors, including Colonel Vo Van Duong; Colonel Le Xuan; Colonel Tran Thi Thu Phuoc; Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Sinh; Colonel Le Xuan Thuy.

On this occasion, Quang Ngai Provincial Police also announced the decision to appoint 27 department heads and 96 police chiefs of communes, wards and special zones in the province after the merger.

Previously, on June 28 in Hanoi, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang handed over the decision to appoint 23 new local police directors after the merger and maintain the 11 current police directors.

Also today, the Quang Tri Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Provincial Police Director on organization and personnel according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee related to the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels. Major General Nguyen Thanh Liem, Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Police (after the merger) chaired the ceremony.

Leaders of Quang Tri Provincial Police presented decisions to comrades at the Department Head level.

Previously, on June 28, 2025, the Ministry of Public Security issued Decision No. 5137/QD-BCA on merging Quang Binh Provincial Police and its affiliated organizations into Quang Tri Provincial Police.

According to the decision, the new Quang Tri Provincial Police Department has an organizational structure of 27 professional departments, operating according to the functions, tasks and powers prescribed in Circular No. 09/2025/TT-BCA and is allowed to use the seal according to the law.

In addition, the Ministry of Public Security has decided to establish Commune-level Police in Quang Tri province, including: 08 Ward Police, 69 Commune Police and 01 Con Co Special Zone Police (based on Con Co Police Station). At the same time, mobilize officers and soldiers from Quang Binh Provincial Police to take up duties at Quang Tri Provincial Police. The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.

Authorized by the Ministry of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Thanh Liem, Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police, presented decisions on personnel work to Deputy Directors of the Provincial Police, and announced the decision to appoint 27 Department Heads, 158 Deputy Department Heads, 125 Team Leaders, 292 Deputy Team Leaders, 78 Commune-level Police Chiefs, 390 Commune-level Police Deputy Chiefs and many other officers who do not hold positions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Thanh Liem congratulated the officers who were trusted and assigned new tasks; at the same time, he requested the entire force to uphold the spirit of responsibility and solidarity, quickly stabilize the organization and apparatus, ensure smooth operation, and not let work be interrupted.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Liem emphasized: from July 1, 2025, Quang Tri Provincial Police will officially operate on the basis of merging the Police of Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces. Officers and soldiers will share the same roof, the same task of ensuring security, order, serving the people, contributing to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security and foreign affairs of the locality.

Despite changes in the organizational structure, the functions and political tasks of the police force have not changed but have been assigned more important responsibilities. With the motto of inheriting and promoting tradition, the officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri Provincial Police are determined to overcome difficulties, quickly stabilize the organization, serve the political tasks of the province well and maintain a peaceful and happy life for the people.
