Stocks race, VN-Index soars again

In the trading session on August 26, most stocks increased in price, especially large stocks, helping the VN-Index "jump" to nearly 54 points.

Closing the trading session on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, VN-Index increased by 53.6 points (3.32%), to 1,667.63 points; VN30-Index stopped at 1,849.05 points after "increasing" by 65.93 points (3.7%).

In this morning's session, continuing the downward trend of the past two sessions, the market initially decreased and then quickly increased again but the increase was not high. In the afternoon session, towards the end of the session, the bottom-fishing force became stronger, helping the market make a leap.

Green almost covered the electronic trading board when there were 299 stocks increasing in price (21 stocks increased to the ceiling), while 45 stocks decreased in price. In the VN30 group, all 30 stocks increased, of which 4 stocks increased to the full range.

Most sectors gained points. Banking, energy, hardware and equipment, real estate, essential aviation trade, and securities rose sharply, from 3.25% to 6.24%.

In the securities group, most codes are currently green, especially VIX, CTS, ORS, PHS, APS, SSI, VND which increased to the maximum amplitude. However, the capitalization scale of this group is not too large so it does not have a clear impact on the VN-Index.

The strongest support for the market is Vingroup stocks including VHM and VIC. These two codes alone contributed more than 10 points, 6.77 points and 4.1 points respectively; followed by two banking codes TCB (3 points), CTG (2.66 points)... On the contrary, essential goods trade and consumer services are two industry groups that go against the market.

Nearly VND40,000 billion was changed hands on the entire floor. Notably, foreign investors returned to net buying. This group bought more than VND4,226 billion and sold nearly VND3,287 billion.

Banks and securities are the groups that strongly attract cash flow. Of which, SSI achieved liquidity of nearly 3,600 billion VND; followed by VPB (over 1,600 billion VND),SHB (nearly 1,500 billion VND), HPG (approximately 1,400 billion VND), CII (over 1,370 billion VND)...

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 275.79 points, up 9.21 points (3.45%); the HNX30-Index increased by 26.45 points (4.54%), reaching 609.17 points. The total transaction value reached nearly 2,500 billion VND.
