80 teachers in border areas honored

80 individuals were selected to be honored at the "Sharing with Teachers" program in 2025, to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

On the afternoon of August 26, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training , and Thien Long Group coordinated with other units to organize a press conference for the program "Sharing with teachers" in 2025.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam, shared: “From 2015 to now, the program "Sharing with teachers" has honored 576 teachers who have made many special contributions to the cause of education . In 2025, we expect the program will not only stop at gratitude, but also bring practical support and strength to teachers in border areas, islands and remote areas."

This year, the program will honor the largest number of teachers ever, including 80 teachers, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard working in 248 communes, wards and special border zones; teachers working at remote schools, schools in remote areas, border areas, areas with difficult socio -economic conditions; officers and soldiers of the Border Guard (teachers in green uniforms) participating in the work of eliminating illiteracy, teaching children and people in border areas and military areas.

The criteria for selecting teachers to be honored include: Having good moral character and lifestyle; having many contributions to educating local students, creating outstanding changes in the quality and effectiveness of education; having a spirit of perseverance in overcoming difficulties, being dedicated to the cause of education, and being loved by students, parents, and the community.

The program also prioritizes teachers with many years of experience; young teachers who volunteer to teach in the local area; and teachers with excellent achievements. Candidates must have participated in direct teaching for 3 years or more.

Notably, the 2025 version is deployed as a comprehensive communication campaign lasting from September to November, combining many direct and online activities. That is the TikTok contest "Appreciation for teachers - Sharing with teachers", encouraging students, alumni and the community to create short videos to express gratitude to teachers. The contest takes place from November 1 to 20, with prizes up to 10 million VND.

The 2025 award ceremony is scheduled to be held on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, in Hanoi. The awarded teachers will receive Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, a commemorative medal and a savings book worth 10 million VND.
